Linuow Terms of Service: The Essentials

By accessing the Linuow website (“linuow.com”) or using our services, you are agreeing to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). If these rules do not work for you, please do not use our site.

Linuow is an independent startup online store operated by a small, dedicated team of fewer than five employees. We value direct communication and personal service above all else. Our primary business location is in Hong Kong, as detailed at the conclusion of these Terms.

1. The Shopping Contract: Orders & Pricing

  • Agreement Formation: When you place an order, our system sends an "Order Confirmation" email. This is simply a notification that we received your request. A formal contract is only established once we send a "Shipping Confirmation".
  • Accuracy & Stock: Because we are a tiny startup, we occasionally face errors in inventory levels or pricing. We reserve the right to cancel an order or revoke acceptance if a product was incorrectly priced or is no longer available in our stock.
  • Taxes: Any necessary sales or use taxes are determined at checkout based on your specific shipping address.

2. Delivery & Ownership

  • Shipping Definition: For us, "Shipping" occurs the moment your package is handed over to the delivery carrier. If you order several household items, they may arrive in separate packages.
  • Transfer of Risk: All purchases are made under a shipment contract. This means that the title and the risk of loss for your items pass to you the moment we deliver the goods to the carrier.

3. Using Our Site & Your Account

  • Your Responsibility: If you set up an account at linuow.com, you are responsible for keeping your password safe. You agree to take responsibility for everything that happens under your account.
  • Conduct: You must use our site for legal purposes only. Posting material that is hateful, obscene, defamatory, or that promotes fraud is strictly forbidden.
  • Age Requirement: Linuow is intended for adult shoppers. If you are under 18, you may only use our site with the direct supervision and permission of a parent or guardian.

4. Ownership of Content

  • Liability Cap: To the fullest extent allowed by law, Linuow and our small team are not liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from site use or product purchases. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product involved.

6. Resolving Disagreements (Arbitration)

  • Individual Arbitration: You and Linuow agree that any claims or disputes related to the site or our products will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in a courtroom.
  • No Class Actions: You agree to settle disputes with us only on an individual basis. You may not act as a lead plaintiff or a member of a class action or representative proceeding.
  • Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of this arbitration rule by emailing service@linuow.com within 30 days of first using our site.

7. Mobile & Text Updates

By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS or MMS messages regarding your order status or special offers.

  • To Stop: Text STOP to any message to opt out.
  • For Help: Text HELP for support.
  • Costs: Standard data and message rates from your mobile provider may apply.

8. Legal Framework & Changes

  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any legal matters not covered by arbitration will be handled by the courts in Hong Kong.
  • Updates: We may update these Terms to reflect our evolving startup business. Continuing to use our site after changes are posted means you accept the updated rules.
